It's about that time

Lately I have been mourning our sooner rather than later exile from Provo. I have always been less than thrilled about living here, but lately I have come to realize all of the amazing things that Utah has to offer. I have tried to take advantage of some of these things in the last few months, but I still feel bad that I didn't revel in them when I had the chance.

But, as if right on cue, Utah stepped in and gave me that little push out of the door and reminded me just why I am excited to be moving home to Las Vegas.

Enter: SnowstormYuck. Snow, I generally like you. I think you look pretty and make for a very festive holiday season. But, I do have a few complaints:

*I hate having to wake up early, so that I can scrape you off of my car.
*I hate having to scrape you off of my car.
*I hate that I track you all through my house, which makes a dirty wet mess.
*I hate that you are cold. So terribly cold.
*I hate that I have to drive 35-40 mph on the freeway, and 10 mph on the roads.
*I hate that I constantly worry about the car getting stuck in you.
*I hate that you make the bottom of my pants wet and cold.
*I hate that I have to wear 5 layers outside, and then am burning up any time I go inside.
*I hate that you pile up on the sides of the road, and turn all grey and black from the sludge of the cars.
*I hate that you stick to Hero's fur, so that every time she goes outside I have to rise her off in the sink.
*I hate that you get inside my shoes when I walk, and make my socks wet and cold.
*I hate that I have to shovel my walkway once every morning and night.
*I hate that you usually stay until April, or even later.
*I hate that you put Jeff in a very, very bad mood because he hates living in you.

Just a few complaints from me. Good thing we are outta here! But, there is someone who will miss you...

Hero acts like a mad dog whenever there is snow. She sticks her face in it and runs around biting and licking it. She loves it. Crazy monster.

I am not a fan of the cold. I like to see snow on mountains or on TV, but there is no way I can live in it. Vegas' fabulous winter awaits you.

We have snow on the mountains today, but my pant legs are dry, the dogs aren't tracking snow in, my windshield was toasty and dry, and I didn't even wear a jacket today. BUT...snow is so beautiful to look at when it is fresh and clean and I don't have to walk/drive in it.

Those are very valid reasons for hating the snow. I think I would have to agree with all of them. However there is some positive of the snow. It makes you want to leave and that means you are leaving there to come to here (Vegas)......YES!

But it's so pretty and serene looking, peaceful and calming to look at, while sipping hot chocolate.

Snow... I thought that I'd enjoy having a white christmas, wait, no I didn't! I am a wussy and I get cold so easily! I dislike the fact that my pants and shoes get all wet so that I can't cross my legs in class anymore to stay warm. The only good thing is that hot chocolate sounds good all the time! But then again, it did in Vegas too... Hmm...

But I saw on the news once that it snowed in vegas! Although the fact that they actually showed it on the news suggests that maybe it doesn't happen all that often. OR it was a very slow news day. I don't know...

Okay, I'll stop whining. The humidity here adds quite a bitterness to the cold...but I don't have the snow issues. I'm not a snow fan and Jamie's even worse. He would be moody like his bro if we lived in snow.
