The birfday report

October = both of our birthdays. Birthdays = fun. October = best month in the year.

For my birthday I spent the night with Katie and her roommate, Brittany. It was a fun filled evening of taking Hero to the park, eating delicioso Indian food, and hanging out with Cameron and Lauren and eating some pie. Pumpkin pie. It's a birthday tradition, and they were nice enough to make me feel right at home!

I didn't take many pictures that evening, but Katie did snap a few shots of me opening up her presents. She was so nice to me and gave me two great gifts!

Katie has officially entered the college life, and as such, has done what all poor college students must do. Wrap gifts in pillow cases and blankets, because wrapping paper costs too much money and it is just going to be thrown away anyway. This gift was wrapped up in a pillow case that Kate made me. I thought it was so sweet, until I noticed that the pillowcase was Halloween themed with a tombstone on it which predicted my death on that day.

"Happy Birthday and congratulations on living 23 years! Too bad that today will be the last birthday that you ever have..." Thanks Katie.

She also tied said pillowcase with one of those things that are on the inside shoulder of shirts so that you can ensure that they stay on the hanger. No idea what those things are called. Rubber somethings. Anyway, I thought it was quite clever.

And inside was one of the coolest posters I have ever seen! I love additions to my wonderful witch collection, and this one is beautiful.

I also got two amazing movies from Katie and my Mom. Coraline, which is fantastic, and the Proposal, which is absolutely hilarious. Thanks guys, I love my presents!!

Jeff was gone for my birthday, but when he got back from Philadelphia he brought some presents along with him! He got me some lovely earrings, a gorgeous red turtleneck sweater, the comfiest vest that feels just like a pillow, and a set of espresso cups that are completely perfect for little tea cups. I'll have to get some pictures of everything, when I can. He's definitely a keeper.

Yesterday was the Jeffstar's birthday. On Saturday night Jeff, Katie and I went to see Harry Potter at the dollar theater. Love that show, except for the end. Anyway, it was fun. Yesterday we just spent the day lounging about in our pjs and eating tasty foodstuffs. I made Jeff breakfast in the morning, we watched Return to Me and laughed at the cute little old guys, napped, invited Katie over for some homemade (by Jeff) minestrone, watched an episode of Psych, and then opened presents.

First up was the coupon booklet that I made for Jeff. It was filled with yummy treats like 20 minute back scratches and neck rubs. I am seriously jealous. Also, I had to make it because my main birthday present was foiled! Can you believe that they don't have an Abercrombie and Fitch in Provo/Orem? It seems crazy to me, but I guess the only one is in Salt Lake. Anyway, Jeff wanted one of their catalogs--haha just kidding!! No, really he wanted some cologne, so I had to make a coupon for a trip up to Salt Lake so we can go get it.

Oh, and there was also a coupon for "a trip to Philadelphia and 3 Philly cheese steaks!" Pretty clever, huh? I thought so too.

He also got the new-ish Muse cd. He said, "oooooooooooh" and that is why his mouth is shaped that way.

That's a happy guy!

So, overall I would say that the birthdays this year were a success. Thank you to everyone who called, sent messages, or gave us gifts--especially our parents! We love you guys!
