Fun Saturday

So I haven't done anything fun this whole week because I don't like doing stuff without Jeff. It just isn't as fun doing stuff by myself, and I don't want to do anything too fun, because I don't want him to miss out on the opportunity. Luckily, he didn't have a test this weekend, so I got to spend all Saturday with him! It was a great day!

We woke up early and did yard work for a few hours. This may not sound like fun, but it is just cool to have a yard to even have to do work on! We made some major improvements. We took out all of the old, dead grass along with all of the weeds. We also cleared away all of the spider and bug infested cans and chairs that were left back there from the previous owners. So now it is one big square of dirt, and we are watering it so that we can get ready to plant some grass! It is going to be a nice little yard once we get everything fixed! Sorry though, we forgot to take pictures. We should have been taking them though, so we could see before, middle and end shots. Oh well.

After that, we got all ready and then went out to eat lunch and see a movie. We flipped a coin, and Red Robins won the toss up. So we went to the mall and had some yummy food, walked around for a little bit, and then saw Wall-e. It was a cute show.

Then we came home to Hero, who wasn't happy about being stuck in the house all day. We decided to take her to a park so that she could run around and have fun. Jeff had heard about this park that we have never been to, that is right near the temple. It was AMAZING! I have never seen a park as cool as this one before! It is so huge, with grass stretching out as far as you can see!
Here is a gross kissy picture--for fun.

There is also these huge hills, that enclose this giant flat plain that is just perfect for her. She could run around as much as she wanted, and we didn't have to worry about chasing her to make sure she was safe. It was a pretty windy day, and some beach balls were floating around on the big field. I thought that Hero would like to play with them, but it turns out that she was completely scared of them. Jeff and I had fun though, and she seemed to warm up to them a little bit more after we kicked them around like soccer balls.

Just when we were getting ready to leave, it started sprinkling rain. It was so amazing out there with all of the green grass and the light rain! It was my perfect definition of what a day at the park should be like. Soon, however, it started POURING down rain!! In an instant we were soaked! We gathered up our things, and had to run up the huge hill to get out of the field, and then back down the other side of the hill to get to our car! It was so fun running as a little family, Jeff and I at the front and Hero running as fast as her little legs would take her behind us! It was definitely a fun experience, and I want to go there weekly now!

Here are some modeling shots of us, before the rain started. Haha... we're weirdos.
