Our Secret Pet

So the other night Jeff was taking Hero out to go potty in our backyard, and then she wouldn't come back in. He stood out on the porch with the door open, calling and calling her. Well, rather than getting our pet dog to come in, we got another surprise!! A HUGE bug...I think it was a moth, but I couldn't be sure because you can't really get a good look at something when you are running around screaming with your head clutched in between your hands.

ANYWAY, we spent the next hour searching for the bug. We found it once, when I rattled the dryer and it flew from the top, but then it disappeared somewhere else. Needless to say, Jeff and I both had dreams of bugs crawling all over us that night. Well, it has been a few days and there has been no sighting of our little pet. So now, we often refer to it as our "secret pet" when we are wondering where it is. Maybe it flew out of the house somehow? Maybe it is lying in wait, ready to ambush us just when we aren't expecting it? Maybe it is lying around somewhere dead? I have no idea. But as long as it stays this way, I am fine. Uh, that picture really creeps me out though.

So, on an unrelated note, here are some random pictures. Most of them are of Hero, since she is all we seem to take pictures of anymore! There is also one of Jeff with her at the park, and he looks amazing--if I do say so myself.
