As I was glorying in my photogs, I came across several pictures that were funny, mainly because of one thing. They had people/places/things in the backgrounds that weren't really supposed to be there. But I love that they are there, because they make the photographs so much better.
Take this sequence, for example. We were just coming out of Joe's Crabshack on the Oceanside pier after a lovely dinner, and we were on our way back to the condo. I decided that I would run ahead, and take pictures of my family as they were walking.
Awe, the fam!
My aren't they a happy bunch?
This vacation is lovely. Walking along the pier, everyone together...
I couldn't imagine a happier...AH! What is that in the background?
Who is she?? She's not in our family! And she isn't very happy about it either.
Jeff and I had a fun time laughing at this picture when we looked back through our vacation photographs.
This is one I found of Jefferson, when he went to San Francisco on a work trip before we were married.
Haha young little Jefferson. Riding the trolley in San Fran. Weird unknown guy taking center stage in his picture.
This is when we went to San Fran together on our anniversary.
That guy in the back looks jazzed to go see Alcatraz. I rhymed. Does anybody want a peanut?
Okay, so this one doesn't have something in the background, but it does have something that isn't cooperating. Hello bangs!
This is one of my personal favorites, although it doesn't quite fit into the category of "not supposed to be there" because I purposefully took a picture of this guy. He waiting to get onto the Staten Island ferry, much like we were and I thought his look was very interesting. I pretended that I was taking a picture of my cousins, and took a picture of him. I was quite surprised, to say the least, when he made a face right as the picture was taken. I guess he knew my plan all along.
