Anyway, yeah it was a day last month. I think it was the 11th. Uh, maybe the 10th. Yeah, I think we got married on the 10th, because I always THINK it is the 11th, and then I am always wrong. Embarrassing.
Whatever day it was, that was the day that we spent in Portland. And what a glorious day it was. One of the most amazing parts of the day was the time we spent at the Japanese Botanical Garden. So peaceful and serene. It was heaven on earth.
I want one in my backyard.
I love this picture. The padagoa (I think that's what it is called) was a gift from Portland's sister city, somewhere in Japan. Can't remember the name of the city...mostly cause they all sound like the same name to me. I would never be able to learn an oriental language. Anyway, it seems like a lot of the major cities have "sister cities" across the globe. I remember when I was in Sevilla, I saw a gift from their sister city somewhere in Washington state. I don't know what that's about.
Nice gift though.
The only exhibit in the garden that didn't incorporate water. It's meant to symbolize the ocean though, with the ripples in the sand mimicking the waves crashing around cliffs. Very beautiful, I think.
Jeff's becoming the little arteest of the family. Cool shot.
Me: "Hey Jeff, remember it's our anniversary today?"
Jeff: "Yeah, uh I'm the one who told you it was today. You thought it was tomorrow."
Me: "Yeah, not important. We should do a kissy picture to symbolize our love and all that."
Jeff: "Uh...ok."
You would think that after 3+ years of kissing, we would know how to do it. Always go to the right!!
Oh yes, there we go. Pretty much the perfect place for a kiss. And perfect guy too.
I'm glad we got married.

You two are so cute together--congratulations on the 3+ years of marriage. As for the confusion on the date...I recall going to a wedding reception on a Friday night for a couple that actually got married the next day (Saturday.) That would be reason to be confused about the actual date, don't ya think? :O)
I actually do the same thing with our wedding date. It was going to be the 10th, but we changed it to the 9th. So I always have to think about it before I say it right. Also we went to Portland for part of our Honeymoon...loved it there!!
You are adorable!
