Friday night date

On Friday night we drove down to the Water Street District in Henderson for a big band jazz concert. Mmm I love jazz. I like to say it soothes my soul...mostly because it sounds poetic and makes me seem modish, but also because I think it really does.

A blurry view of Water Street.

Here's the jazz band that we listened to. It was a free outside concert at the Henderson Events Center. It was pretty fun!

All the photos we took turned out blurry because of how dark it was. Oh well!

After a while we decided to walk over to the plaza across from the stage area and listen to the music played over the loud speakers. The plaza was surrounded by trees, and the reflection of the lights sparkled on the shiny cement pavement. It was a perfectly romantic setting and it was just asking to be taken advantage of. So we did. Jeff took my hand and started dancing with me across the floor.

Then I jumped into his arms and made him twirl me around in circles. I might have gotten so dizzy afterward that I fell down on the ground and stayed there. But that's okay. Twirling is worth it.

Jazz, dancing and Jeff. A perfect night if you ask me.
