The outdoors are great.

Jeff and I might just have turned into hiking fiends. We have gone the past two Saturdays and are LOVING IT!

Saturday now = el dia de hiking.

Isn't that waterfall great? The past two weeks we have gone to Red Rock, and the weather has been uh-mazing. The sun was shining, but there was a nice cool breeze. We have taken the dogs and now they are as addicted to the outdoors as we are. You should have seen Hero and Anna Belle jump the rocks in the river that we hiked down last Saturday! They were champs!

Anyway, we have another hike planned for Saturday, although I think we are going to try to go to Mt. Charleston this time. Should be fun!

Looks beautiful! Emily M. goes hiking at different places. Here's the link to her hike in Mt. Charleston: http://adventures-misadventures.blogspot.com/2009/09/fletcher-canyon.html

Great pictures! I used to hike Red Rock and camp there too. Mt Charleston has great hiking. Head up from Mary Jane Falls, a few miles up, springs and parts of 1940's plane crash.

This hike looks awesome! I know you said Redrock but what trail is it?

Both hikes were at Red Rock. The first one we went on was really just more of a walk--it was called First Creek Trail. It was the one with the waterfall, although that one was 3 weeks ago, so I don't know if it would have a big waterfall still.

The second one we went on was called Pine Creek Trail, and it was really pretty! Again, it was a pretty easy one, although the scenery was much prettier.

We just went on one yesterday called Ice Box Canyon and it was fantastic! Much more strenuous, although not bad at all. I highly recommend that one, because it is fun with all the scrambles you have to go on!
