You know what really, really bugs me? (I feel like I am always writing about things that bug me...I must be a curmudgeon. Ooooh, look at that fancy GRE vocab. Hopefully I can remember what that word means tomorrow.)
Anyway, yeah, something that bugs me. Okay, so Halloween is like the greatest holiday ever, right? Right. And if you take advantage of it you can dress up like something really really cool, like say, oh I don't know, a witch. Or a vampire. Or a ghost. Or a number of other creepy things. And it is like the only time of the year that you could do that, and not have other people think that you are a crazy buffoon. Pretty awesome, right? Right.
So why, WHY, do girls feel the need to dress up in horribly revealing, nasty costumes? Why? Just because it is Halloween, does not make it alright for you to wear no clothes, and pretend it is a costume. People will still think you are slutty. Mostly because you are.
And as bad as this is, with the invention of Facebook it has become even worse. It would be one thing if girls just dressed up in their nasty "costumes" and then went to a party. That would be fine with me, because I sure as heck ain't going to any party that they would be going to. But, because of Facebook, I am forced to see these girls because they end up posting 100+ pictures of their thongs and high heels. It's just gross.
So, as of today, I am going on a Facebook strike. I will not get on Facebook until enough time has passed that people are no longer uploading their Halloween costume pictures. I don't really get on Facebook that much anyway, but I just thought that I would put that out there.
On another note, Hero has an opinion about what I have to say in this post.
"Oh Steph, after reading your post I can clearly see that you are jealous of all the good looking girls out there in the world who can pull off sexy costumes at Halloween. Don't be jealous, instead just embrace your ugliness. Oh here's an idea! You could just dress up as yourself for Halloween! That would scare everyone away..."

Yea, the nurses I've seen in the hospitals look "like ordinary nurses," nothing appealing about them...unless I'm in cariac arrest and they're holding those electric shocker doo-dads, they all look alike. :-)
After reading your post I decided to put away my Playboy bunny outfit and go for the traditional witch costume.
We were eating at the mall last night and I saw some seriously skankadelic outfits. My little Tinkerbell looked perfect, though.
okay remember on the movie mean girls when lindsay lohan goes to the halloween party and she's hideous (but a really cool looking dead bride) and everyone else is just slutty?? hahaha. just thinking about that scene puts a smile on my face. like when the boy that she likes sees her he's like, "oh my gosh!"(like actually scared)hahahaha!!!
Totally agree with what you said (not with what Hero said, what does she know, she has no figure)! What bothers me even more is to see ads for teen and tween hootchy costumes! What?! What kind of mother would buy her 14-year-old a costume like that (one that's wearing one and can't be hypocritical by telling her daughter no?). arg, makes me mad and disgusted!
