I've discovered

that the posts I like the best on other blogs are the posts about everyday life.  You know, the posts where a person just talks about the stuff that they have to do during the day, or fun things they've done, recipes they've tried, their daily schedule and whatnot.  I think the whole fun of reading blogs is getting a little peek into someone's life...a peek you wouldn't otherwise get to see.  The fun of it is finding out things about people that sound really neat or interesting, and then thinking up ways that you could apply it into your life!  That's why I like reading books too--my favorite stories are the ones that explain the main characters day to day activities.  That's probably the only reason that I read the Twilight books--I loved it when she went home and cooked a meal for her dad and her, or just threw something in the oven.  Sometimes it's just fun to live the life of someone else, cause it almost makes your life more interesting and real.  Okay, that probably doesn't make any sense, but whatever.

So, I want to do that on my blog.  Not really for anyone else, 'cause you guys probably don't give a crud about what my days consist of, but because it's fun to look back on posts and see how life has changed, and remember what it used to be like.  Sometimes I wish I would have done posts like that when I was in school or living in Utah--it would be fun to go back and read those now.

Anywho, this is my life at this moment.

I'm ready for bed and I'm getting ready to grab my iPod as I listen to a story and fall asleep.  I don't know why I look like I want to eat the computer, cause I don't.  I'm pretty full right now.  Jeff doin this thang on the computer, and Hero is sleeping in her usual spot at the foot of the bed.

And yes, I'm wearing an old fashioned nightgown to bed.  It is sooo much more comfortable than pajama pants, and let's just admit it--it's stinking cute.  I pretty much love it, and want to get 3 more like it.  Actually, I want to learn how to make 3 more like it, 'cause I really wished that I could learn to sew.  Probably not going to happen for a while though.

Life is good, even when it's just normal.  I think it's fun to take pleasure in the everyday small things.

I love reading about the things you do. Your life seems so simple right now. Yes you have school and a husband who is also going to school, but still simple. You cook a lot, read a lot, do fun things. Plus that nightgown seems to totally fit your style. Sewing is fun by the way. I have been doing a lot this year and I LOVE it. Now if only I could cook as much as you do.

I love this post because I do "give a crud." Someday, maybe when we both have nothing to do, I'd love to help you learn to sew. :O)

Looks like it could be a normal scene from the 1800's, albeit Jeff's lap top would be the world almanac to check on when to plant those green beans... ergo most of our lives. :-)
