A week long headache

Working five 11 hour days in a row is not a pleasant thing. In fact, it gives one a headache. A week long headache.

Today was my day off, but instead of sleeping in and lounging around in my pjs, I was at work making people bend their heads in awkward positions and then putting blue sticky pads on their necks and backs. I just have to think about the extra money I earned working--it was worth it, it was worth it, it was worth it. Have to keep repeating that to myself.

But right now I am just beat. My head is throbbing and my eyes are begging for a little bit of rest. I wish that I could have relaxed outside on the grass today while admiring the lovely yellow flowers in our front yard. I would have loved to feel the sun's soft rays on my skin as I read a book or watched the dogs play together.

Oh well, I'll just have to save that for next Thursday when I actually get my day off.

Now I am going to go to sleep in my big, soft bed while listening to Diana Krall sing me a soft, jazzy lullaby. She always knows how to ease my aching, throbbing head. Thanks Diana and your magnificent jazz piano skills. You're wonderful.

Sticky blue pads? That's new. Sorry you've had such long days--you deserve to have a day of just admiring your yellow flowers!

Love the flowers, but hate them at the same time. I have the worst allergies (since March). So pretty things like that scare me right now. However work sounds fun ;)

Extra strength Tylenol? Sticky blue pads? Nice yellow flowers.
