I'm grateful for stealing AKA grateful day 1

Every day in November my gorgeous and very talented sister-in-law Gina always does a "month of gratitude" post. It is so fun to read about their family and see all of the things that they are grateful for.

So, I have decided that I am going to shamelessly steal her wonderful idea, and do it on our blog! We are a couple of days late, but here we go for our very own "month of gratitude" first post!

Steph is grateful for a working one of these:

No seriously, I am really really grateful for this. Recently we have been having plumbing problems from Hell, and it even got to the point where our landlady told us that if the plumber couldn't fix it by snaking our main line, that we would all have to move out. Move out? Where?! So, we have been keeping our fingers crossed and so far so good. Hopefully our plumbing will last for just a month and a half more, and then we will be home free!

Jeff is grateful for this upcoming season:

So Jeff didn't actually tell me to say this for his post, but he has been mentioning his excitement for basketball season almost every day. And his face gets all happy and giddy like a schoolgirl whenever he reads anything about the team. So I pretty much know that he is grateful for this.

Hero is grateful for trips to the park:

If you think dogs can't express emotions, you should see this little monster's face whenever we mention the word "park". Her ears perk up, her eyes get bright and she jumps almost 5 feet into the air in her excitement.

That is a happy dog.

See, it is the simple things in life we can appreciate. But, basketball?!

Cute dog pic! I did the month of being grateful last year--I started running out of thankfuls by the end of the month. Obviously, I'm way more ungrateful than Gina, but I do love to read her blog.

Hey, that is not your toilet, there are no stains on it and I can't see the tub in the picture.

Great idea. I might have to steal it too

Imitation is the highest form of flattery, although your gracious description of me could compete. Yes, indoor plumbing is a marvelous thing!
I haven't seen enough of my husband as it is so don't tell me about basketball season and Hero's a cutie! Pass on your photography tricks. Hopefully your techniques work for kids as well as dogs.
Carol- you're funny.
