Irony

Irony: an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected; The essential feature of irony is the indirect presentation of a contradiction between an action or expression and the context in which it occurs.

Yesterday on my blog I posted about blog stalking. In that post I also talked about my desire to read blogs that were interesting and realistic. Apparently not everyone shares my views on this subject, which is totally and completely fine. But you know what makes this situation a little bit funny and a quite a bit ironic? I have no idea who this dissenting reader is, which, as far as I know, means that they could be termed a...blog stalker. A blog stalker who doesn't like what I think, when I am blog stalking. Ironic.

Now, don't get me wrong, I am completely flattered that I have blog stalkers. That means that something about my blog is appealing to readers. I can talk all day about how I use my blog as a personal journal so that someday I can look back and know what I was thinking--but in the end, it feels good to have people read my blog.

But anyway, I just found the whole situation funny. So please, don't be scared away all of you other blog stalkers. Feel free to comment and let me know that you exist--it makes me happy. And please, offended annoymous reader who wants to only read upbeat and uplifting blogs, don't think that I am trying to attack you. I just think you're funny. Maybe I will leave you with some words of advice, which actually might sound quite familiar to you:

"Maybe there's value in reading only the blogs you like and ignoring/forgiving those who don't meet the standards."

Ok so did you notice that one of the pictures was of a stage? That was the stage we performed on when we were in middle school show choir. I saw it and laughed!!! Taking that trip was so worth it. It was a lot more more having Lana there as well. Not as hard as I was thinking it was going to be.

I am a blog stalker and proud of it. I stalk your blog on a weekly basis. And I totally know whose blog from the old ward you were referring to. The wife and I make fun of it often :)

I don't think I'd ever leave a comment of a negative nature on someone's blog I didn't know. On your blog on the otherhand, I will gladly leave anything that might annoy Jeff.

Blogs are for our own opinions, regardless whether we please other people or not.

I love it! Don't forget to quote: "Guess not everbody know the blogging standards." (sic)Where would one find these standards as if one cares about them?? "To each his own, just leave me alone. RS circa 1997.

I love that you embrace the blog stalkers! (I am definitely one myself, but I don't like to think of myself as "creepy" as was my blog stalker!) I love reading your blog by the way, I definitely relate!
