Yep, yep, yep, our little Jeffboy is all grown up and is applying to go to Dental School. He now has all of his information sent in and we are just waiting to hear back from the schools to let us know about interviews! And interviews he will definitely get because.... 
Jeff KILLED the DAT! Whoo hoo! He has been studying for this horrible test for a couple months now, and over the last few weeks has been doing nothing but studying. And when I say nothing, I mean nothing but studying! We went home for the Fourth of July weekend and he spent all of Friday, Saturday and Sunday sitting at my desk in my room, reading biology and o-chem stuff. He wouldn't even come out to my grandma's to go swimming, watch fireworks and eat ribs. Now if you know Jeff at all, you'll know how serious he must have been to give up eating barbecued chicken and ribs.
But I think he is very happy that he did work so hard, because he has pretty much ensured that he will be getting into dental school Fall 2010. So exciting!
Well, I don't really know enough about DAT scores to be able to explain this, but I think you can look at the percentiles and find out everything you need to know. Basically for a lot of/most dental schools the average DAT score of people who get in is an 18 or 19. As you can see, Jeff clearly surpassed this score. By a lot. Look at those percentiles!

This is impressive data, beyond the predictive or actuarial reach of even Western Wats. Hang on to this fellow! If not for love, for the tempting prospect of reasonably-priced annual checkups.
Way to go Jeffboy! My brother is applying for dental school too. Hopefully you'll both be going to UNLV if for no other reason than to make our visitations easier.
