Best weekday date night ever. (Yeah I know weekday-date-night sounds weird).

So lately Jeff and I have been listening to a book called the Cemetary Dance. It is one of those books that starts out REALLY slowly, but then picks up quite a bit and gets you completely hooked on the storyline. We bought the book so we would have something to listen to on the ride home to Vegas (will blog about that trip later).

Anyway, yesterday after I got home from work, I changed into my pajamas--so comfy--and ate some dinner. After that, I got Jeff to stop studying for the DAT so that we could listen to the book. We are in that stage of the book where there are only a couple of hours left so all of the major mysteries are being revealed, and all of the interesting action is taking place. So, we go into our room, start the book on the oPod, pull out the snacking essential (see photo below), and settle down on the bed to listen to the book. It was so different, yet fun, to listen to the story, instead of watching a movie or TV. I think TV has made me forget how much fun it can be to use my imagination, instead of just watching the story unfold.

Anyway, it was a really fun date until we both fell asleep. At 7:30. PM.

At least I feel really rested today! I didn't get drowsy (and almost fall asleep while typing the boring stuff I have to do at work) once! I think I may have to make this a weekly date night activity.

I absolutley LOVE hot fries! No one even knows what they are. I can't even find them up here. Must be a Vegas thing...

hot fries are the best! I used to get them in elementary school and still do on some road trips :)
