"My wife and I took a trip down to St. George this weekend and we had an opportunity to talk with a great uncle who lived in Austria during world War II. He remembered he was six years old when he heard Hitler speak for the first time. He told us he had a very distinct feeling of how evil Hitler was. The conversation switched to politics later on and he told us that he had the exact same feeling when he heard Obama speak for the first time. There's the common saying that those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it. I'm not a hard-core Republican or anything like that, but since he received the same revelation for these two people, shouldn't we be doing something?"

Shouldn't we be doing something, indeed. Now, Jeff and I debated for about 5 seconds on whether or not this was a joke...but then we remembered our lovely school and the sincere, but sometimes inane, people that go there and decided fairly quickly that it was for serious. We love BYU. :)
On another note, we also love Provo because it snowed today! Where else can my wildest dream of living in a real-life Nightmare Before Christmas come true? Let me answer that--nowhere but our dear Provo.

Stephanie! Your blog looks amazing! Haha I love the witch wallpaper, and all the pictures of pumpkins and Hero! It still doesn't look like halloween here... :( but it just started getting so freezing cold! Yesterday I called to see what the temperature was at 10 o'clock and it was 54 degrees! AT 10 IN THE MORNING!!! crazy huh?! Haha! I love you!
hahaha. Well the first time my little sister met Jamie she told me she could tell he was a bad guy. A few months later she was jumping into his arms squealing with excitement every time he came to the house,so either he coaxed her into a carnal state of security as so many evil people do or people can be pretty dumb on rash first impressions. Boy Hitler and Obama though, that's a good one.
Crazy weather there, crazy weather here. Feel like I'm livin' on the outskirts of Provo.
Oh, we miss Provo! I still read the reader's forum on the Daily Universe website. It's just one of those things I can't let go of.
If it makes you feel any better, it was cold this weekend in Vegas, around 60 degrees. We saw that it had snowed in Utah and we were so thankful we weren't there!
I love the pictures.....is that your porch? Mark really does miss the snow. I am sure we will be in Utah as much as we can during the winter.
oh man don't you love that it snowed in OCTOBER?! man i was so ticked! but i know you and autumn, and out comes the cute sweaters and jackets :). HAPPY BIRTHDAY tomorrow by the way!!!
Hi guys, saw your blog on Casey's and am quite amused. Johnny used to share the Police Beat with me but this is even better! Thanks for reminding me I should appreciate Provo more! :)
